The Conrad Indianapolis Conference Center is comprised of two high-tech boardrooms, a flexible ballroom space and six small conference rooms that are often used for corporate meetings and special events. The versatile ballroom can be used as one large room, four separate rooms or any combination to accommodate a variety of events. Mobile projection systems, complete with portable screens, provide plug-and-play usability. The featured system, which is used in the ballroom and small conference rooms, is a portable smart podium that houses a variety of technology applications. The podium includes an interactive presenter panel, a document camera, wired and wireless microphones, DVD, VCR, an integrated touchpanel control and a local input for a laptop PC. When plugged into a particular room, the podium automatically resides on the hotel's network and takes control of the room's electronic system with the touchpanel device. The interactive panel specifically enables presenters to engage their audiences with the ability to make on-screen annotations and walk throughout the room during the presentation, remotely managing their PC-based presentations with an integrated control device. The hotel's conference center uniquely caters to its clientele, offering many of the technology applications that its corporate guests utilize in their own offices and conference rooms. Moving the technology trend foward, Conrad Indianapolis' conference center serves as a benchmark for the city's hospitality industry.
